Why the Ninth Amendment is so important to know.
“The enumeration in the Constitution, of certain rights, shall not be construed to deny or disparage others retained by the people”
The Ninth Amendment is basically the beginning of America. If we start there, we understand that all of the rights in this world belong to the people. From there, we the people created a government and gave the government limited powers only to guarantee our rights. Our rights did not come from the government – we have God-given rights.
This is important to understand, especially when we see our government officials state that they have the power to tell us what rights we have or not. And especially when we are seeing governors ASK for these unlawful rules to be halted.
Let’s remember what the hierarchy is:
God, Man, State, Federal – the lower down that totem pole, the LESS power they have. We must remember that.
The people can take away any power that they have delegated to the government.
America was founded to put people above the government.
This Amendment is rock solid and there to remind any politician, or elected official, that all of the power and rights belong to the people. It is their sole duty to protect those rights.
So any government servant who tells us to move that from our liberty, it is OUR DUTY to stand firmly and say “NO – YOU get out of our way.”
Refresher – Definition of ‘mandate’ – Black’s Law Dictionary 11th Edition
“Roman & Civil Law. A written command given by a principal to an agent; specif., a commission or contract by which one-person (the mandator – *so like a governor) requests someone (the mandatary – *so like you and me) to perform some service gratuitously, the commission becoming effective when the mandatary agrees.”
This means that a ‘mandate’ does NOT become effective unless YOU accept it. If you do not accept the terms, it is null. Once you comply, wearing masks/testing/quarantining/
A President cannot make law.
OSHA cannot make law.
Your Employer cannot make law.
