As we approach a beautiful weekend, let’s look forward with positivity and in celebration.
We have seen some wins (The Year of WINS!) already this year and the momentum is growing!
Celebrating wins, no matter how little they may seem, is good for the soul. It’s a great achievement and shows value to all we have been doing.
Keep encouraging others to continue moving forward. You continue to encourage me to stay in this fight and I am so blessed beyond measure.

Archuleta Schools
Parents, has your child come home with their new bus pass? Are you curious to what they are using this pass for?
Like I always say, you MUST dig deeper.
Here, within the Archuleta County 50 JT ESSER II Application, you will see on page 11 where Laura Mijares is asking for funding for a bus tracking system for the sole purpose of contact tracing.
I asked Laura Mijares to clarify.
Laura responded stating that she has not advised the parents of this purpose because “Schools are no longer asked to contact trace; hence contact tracing was not mentioned at the April Board Meeting.”
Is this repairing integrity with transparency?
“We intend to have all students swipe onto the bus starting in the fall, but NO parent/ guardian is required to participate in the app system. There will be no release of personal information to anyone outside the school employees who need to know.”
Does this include San Juan Basin Health? The State of Colorado?
We have all seen how they have shared personal information the last two years without parental consent.
Parents, what is happening in your local school districts?
According to Bob Lynch (Archuleta School Board President) – “I can’t say there would never be a mask mandate in the future simply because we can’t predict all the circumstances that may arise months or years down the road“. He is admitting that if this happens again, the schools will comply – which would include once again sharing your child’s information.
