Holy Moly Friends! A LOT has happened in just the past two days! Let’s try and get caught up!

First let’s get updated with Koli’s hearing (3/9/21). THANK you to all who showed up today! Amazing turn out and you shared great information with Andrea. Koli was once again denied access for his court appearance because he would not take their unlicensed medical advice and put a muzzle on. The end result was that the court continued his case until April. I heard you all educated the Town Manager today! You guys ROCK!

Secondly, let’s update about Jimmy. A HUGE thank you to all those who showed up yesterday AND today! He was blown away by your support and willingness to stand together! Thank you to all those who offered your help to assist his Wife while he is away. And THANK You to those who have asked about creating a fund for these types of situations.

BUT GREAT NEWS FRIENDS!!!

JIMMY has been RELEASED! While we do not have all the details, we are thankful that he is home with his family! We will let him decompress and we look forward to an update from him!

I am proud of how confident you all have become! Knowledge is power!

SUNDAY'S RECAP:

We went over in depth the definition of a Public Accommodation, Civil v. Criminal and the State and Federal Laws that are being violated. I have attached the documents I went over. Please print these out and get familiar with them!

Public Accommodation – Remember, a Public Accommodation is defined as ANY business that is OPEN to the public and cannot discriminate against any of the protected classes. No store policy is above the law! Which means, they cannot institute a store policy that conflicts with state and federal laws. Could a store institute a policy of “fist-fight Fridays” or require you to eat a ham sandwich as a condition of entry. No.

Supremacy Clause – Refers to Article VI, Paragraph 2 of the U.S. Constitution. Simply stated, the Constitution takes precedence OVER state laws. No ordinance, code, statute etc can be in conflict with the Constitution of the United States.

Criminal Trespass – Colorado State Law defines trespass as a person who knowingly and unlawfully enters or remains in a dwelling of another. Criminal trespass does not occur when the only piece of evidence is a person not covering their face, while entering a public accommodation. It is clear that our local law enforcement may need a little more education on this subject.

Civil v. Criminal – The easiest way to define the difference is to think of Criminal = Murder. Must prove “beyond a reasonable doubt” that someone is guilty and a jury decides. Civil = monetary. This would be proving liability against someone or a business for punitive damages. An example of this would be a wrongful death suit.

Handouts – Please get familiar with the Federal and State Laws that would be violated by businesses if they deny you services. These laws also apply to government buildings and hospitals. This is important to know!

Immune Health – Lacy will be sharing information on immune health on Sunday, March 21, 2021. Great information!

Vaccine Seminar – Getting a seminar in the works! Will be towards the end of March. Keep a lookout!

Notary Services – For those of you who have Affidavits completed and need a Notary, Marybeth has graciously offered her services. If you need help with this, please let me know.

Book – Niara shared that there was a book titled “The American Nonresident Nontaxpayer or United States citizen Resident Taxpayer” that tells you how to decide if you are subject to the Federal and State Income Tax. I have attached the most up to date COVID related expenses the Town of Pagosa has occurred. I am still waiting for my entire Open Records Request to be completed by San Juan Basin Health. I am also waiting for Archuleta County to provide me with my Open Records Financial Request.

BRING: Your FRIENDS, FAMILY, signs, posters, American Flag. Please no political signs or flags. We want the message to be clear, we say NO to these dictators and draconian orders! No more masks!
